Integration capabilities depend on supported connectors, event types, auditing, licensing, permissions, and the target cloud environment.
The problem
Organizations implement DLP policies to prevent sensitive information from leaving their environments. When a policy match or alert occurs, security and data-protection teams still need a clear, evidence-supported way to investigate what happened and determine the appropriate next step.
What happened and who was involved?
What sensitive information was at risk?
Was the activity blocked, allowed, audited, or overridden?
Was the behavior isolated or part of a larger pattern?
What additional investigation is required?
How should the organization respond through its approved workflow?
The NLCS solution
NLCS helps define the supported integration path, validate selected controls and telemetry, and document the workflow that connects data-protection signals to security investigation. Available capabilities depend on connectors, event types, auditing, licensing, permissions, and cloud environment.

Clarify information flows, sensitive-data use cases, DLP scope, security telemetry, and operational requirements.
Assess and improve the selected Purview information-protection and DLP controls.
Identify supported connector, diagnostic, audit, or Defender XDR integration paths for the environment.
Develop agreed correlation use cases, KQL queries, analytics rules, and investigation context.
Design incident investigation workflows, evidence collection, and ownership handoffs.
Validate selected use cases, document findings, and refine control and detection quality.
A scoped engineering engagement
Deliverables are selected after discovery and confirmed in the engagement scope. NLCS does not provide an outsourced SOC, 24/7 monitoring, managed detection and response, or automatic incident remediation.
Security engineering lifecycle
Review existing Microsoft security configurations, data risks, and operational requirements.
Design security controls, integrations, evidence paths, and investigation workflows.
Configure approved Microsoft security capabilities and integration components.
Test configurations and document expected versus observed results.
Establish investigation procedures, evidence collection, and security-team handoffs.
Improve control effectiveness, detection quality, and configuration consistency.
Microsoft support, licensing, and feature status
The Defender XDR connector can import supported DLP incidents into Sentinel; related Office 365 activity needs the relevant CloudAppEvents path. The separate Purview Sentinel solution uses data-sensitivity diagnostic logs, not a blanket DLP-alert feed. Tuning, ingestion, license, and retention settings matter.

Microsoft availability and preview status can change; scope approval includes a fresh tenant-specific check. These are documented capabilities and constraints, not claims of completed NLCS customer deployments.
