Microsoft365DSC configuration baselining
Controlled, repeatable security operations
Microsoft Security Configuration & Automation
Improve configuration consistency, change control, and operational efficiency across Microsoft security environments.
NLCS helps teams establish supported configuration baselines, inventory and document settings, evaluate material drift, and build controlled PowerShell- and Git-based security engineering workflows.
Capabilities within a scoped engagement
Technical work that connects to an operating outcome.
Specific deliverables are selected after discovery. NLCS scopes the environment, access, dependencies, cloud support, and responsibility boundary before confirming an implementation plan.

How NLCS delivers
Hands-on from requirements through transition.
Identify supported workloads, configuration scope, permission model, change controls, and evidence requirements.
Establish a baseline or inventory approach for the selected Microsoft security configuration resources.
Build and test approved automation, version-control, drift-review, or validation workflows.
Document supported operations, review steps, exceptions, and handoff responsibilities.
Security engineering lifecycle
Assess, architect, implement, validate, operationalize, and optimize.
Assess
Review existing Microsoft security configurations, data risks, and operational requirements.
Architect
Design security controls, integrations, evidence paths, and investigation workflows.
Implement
Configure approved Microsoft security capabilities and integration components.
Validate
Test configurations and document expected versus observed results.
Operationalize
Establish investigation procedures, evidence collection, and security-team handoffs.
Optimize
Improve control effectiveness, detection quality, and configuration consistency.
Connected services
Work across the data and protection lifecycle.
Microsoft support, licensing, and feature status
Validate the actual workload before committing the control.
Configuration coverage is resource-specific
Microsoft365DSC models supported resources and properties in the selected release. Resource presence is not evidence that every portal setting, preview feature, authentication pattern, or cloud is supported. Drift assessment is separate from runtime DLP effectiveness and does not authorize automatic remediation.
Read official documentation for Configuration coverage is resource-specific (opens in a new tab)Documentation reviewed November 5, 2026. Microsoft availability and preview status can change; scope approval includes a fresh tenant-specific check. These are documented capabilities and constraints, not claims of completed NLCS customer deployments.
