Sentinel architecture and deployment planning
Security detection and investigation engineering
Microsoft Sentinel Consulting
Improve security visibility, detection quality, and investigation workflows with Microsoft Sentinel.
NLCS helps security teams plan, deploy, integrate, and optimize Microsoft Sentinel across Log Analytics workspaces, supported security data connectors, KQL analytics, incident workflows, and security automation.
Capabilities within a scoped engagement
Technical work that connects to an operating outcome.
Specific deliverables are selected after discovery. NLCS scopes the environment, access, dependencies, cloud support, and responsibility boundary before confirming an implementation plan.
Log Analytics workspace configuration planning
Supported security data connector integration
Kusto Query Language (KQL) detection development
Analytics rule configuration and incident correlation
Detection tuning and false-positive reduction
Investigation of available AI security signals alongside identity, endpoint, and data-protection alerts
Incident investigation workflows and security monitoring dashboards
Security automation and playbook engineering
Sentinel configuration assessments
How NLCS delivers
Hands-on from requirements through transition.
Assess the target security environment, data sources, roles, and operational requirements.
Design the workspace, connector, detection, investigation, and automation approach within the agreed boundary.
Implement and test approved connectors, KQL queries, analytics rules, dashboards, or playbooks where supported.
Document the configuration, validation evidence, operating workflow, and handoff requirements for the customer team.
Security engineering lifecycle
Assess, architect, implement, validate, operationalize, and optimize.
Assess
Review existing Microsoft security configurations, data risks, and operational requirements.
Architect
Design security controls, integrations, evidence paths, and investigation workflows.
Implement
Configure approved Microsoft security capabilities and integration components.
Validate
Test configurations and document expected versus observed results.
Operationalize
Establish investigation procedures, evidence collection, and security-team handoffs.
Optimize
Improve control effectiveness, detection quality, and configuration consistency.
Connected services
Work across the data and protection lifecycle.
Microsoft support, licensing, and feature status
Validate the actual workload before committing the control.
Selected DLP incident and activity paths
The Defender XDR connector can import supported DLP incidents into Sentinel; related Office 365 activity needs the relevant CloudAppEvents path. The separate Purview Sentinel solution uses data-sensitivity diagnostic logs, not a blanket DLP-alert feed. Tuning, ingestion, license, and retention settings matter.
Read official documentation for Selected DLP incident and activity paths (opens in a new tab)Documentation reviewed November 5, 2026. Microsoft availability and preview status can change; scope approval includes a fresh tenant-specific check. These are documented capabilities and constraints, not claims of completed NLCS customer deployments.
Start with the actual requirement
Schedule a Purview Consultation.
Bring the problem, target environment, available data or controls, and decision you need to make. NLCS will help frame an appropriate architecture and delivery path.
